THEY VOTED TO HAVE AN IN-PERSON REPUBLICAN STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING!
This is the bi-annual meeting at which the new officers of the State GOP are elected. Prior to COVID, it never would have occurred to anyone to hold this legally mandated gathering online. It’s all about spending time with the other Republican leaders throughout Colorado and deciding together the direction the Party will take for the next two years. An online meeting may get the election done, but it’s at the expense of all those important conversations that happen off-stage.
During the online Colorado Republican Executive Committee (EC) meeting yesterday, newly elected and past members of the EC discussed the possibility of having an in-person meeting. In the closed Executive Session, the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of meeting in person. This is a signal that the new EC is ready to get our state back to BC (Before COVID).
One caveat; we were given 72 hours from the time of the meeting on March 8, 2021 to find a venue for the GOP State Central Committee (SCC) Meeting to be held on the morning of March 27th, 2021.
The GOP leadership has taken a huge step in the right direction towards opening Colorado and Election Integrity. Let’s thank them together!
