Gun Ban SB25-003
Do we really have to go through this again? The waste of time and millions of taxpayer dollars for a gun ban that will do nothing to disarm criminals nor reduce crime. I would think even the democrats themselves would realize that it’s simply a total waste, and for what? An obviously unconstitutional law that will be litigated through the court system and eventually struck down as such. Their goal is to disarm all Colorado citizens – making us subjects, and this is just another step in their process.
This ban is focused on any semiautomatic firearm that has a detachable magazine – which means all semiautomatic pistols, all of the most popular semiautomatic rifles, and many popular shotguns. The NRA estimates that semiautomatics now account for 50% of all new firearm sales, and about 20% of all firearms nationwide.
There are already tens of millions of semiautomatic firearms out there that have detachable magazines and having Colorado banning such firearms will have zero effect on that.
What’s to stop criminals from obtaining banned weapons on the black market or from out of state? What’s to stop criminals from carrying more than one weapon with them? What’s to stop criminals from being criminals? Certainly not more ridiculous and unconstitutional laws that only create criminals out of law-abiding citizens.
Oh-BTW, the millions of our taxpayer dollars that Colorado democrats will waste trying to defend this unconstitutional law will simply add to their current $900 million budget deficit. It’s not their money so they just don’t care.
