WHAT ARE CAUCUSES?
Caucus, in this case, is another word for meeting. The caucuses are the foundational political party meetings held simultaneously in each precinct throughout the state. They will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
At caucus, party members talk with their neighbors to begin the process of choosing leadership for their party and representatives for their government. Caucuses are government mandated and regulated meetings, but they are for conducting the private business of the parties. The PCP’s and delegates elected at these meetings will hold legally recognized political positions and will make decisions that will impact Colorado's future.

STEP ONE:
SAVE THE DATE! Clear your calendar for the caucus on Tuesday, March 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You must attend to participate (no proxy voting). If you cannot attend but would like to be considered as a candidate for your precinct’s PCP or delegate, be sure to send a surrogate to speak on your behalf.
STEP TWO:
Click HERE to Affiliate with the GOP or check your registration.
To vote at your Precinct Caucus, you must have registered to vote, lived in your precinct and affiliated with the GOP 22 days prior to the caucus. You will be automatically registered to attend and vote at your caucus once you have completed this step. The deadline is February 7, 2022. Love your state? Affiliate!
STEP THREE:
Prepare. Your county party origination will be conducting the caucuses in every precinct throughout your county. It’s a big job! Your county party may have a website with an option to sign up for their newsletter. That’s the best way to stay informed about caucus locations and the business which will be conducted there. Maybe you could volunteer to help! Visit ColoGOP.org and click on Directories to find information about your county party.
STEP FOUR:
Step up and get involved! At each Precinct Caucus meeting, attendees will elect Precinct Committee People to represent them to the county party and delegates to delegate candidates to the primary election ballots. YOU may be the most qualified person to run for one of these positions!
STEP FIVE:
Consider volunteering and/or stepping up to run for something! The only defense against a tyrannical Democrat government is a Republican GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE!
